Starhub-ing
I'm sorry if the title of today's post is boring...I couldn't think of anything better...
So anyways..I woke up at 9am today cause I had to accompany my mom to this family carnival at Jurong Spring Community Centre. The carnival is actually for needy people...I'm a needy ok....Before this, we had to go to the mosque like every month, listen to a talk and receive a 'pocket money' for ME...The stuff they had at the carnival are like booths selling food, accessories, etc. There's even a lucky draw....but we didn't win..But I don't mind...
The carnival was supposed to end at 5..but we left early..we left at 12.30 cause I was so bored...Most of them there were aunties and children...Plus, I need to go for my training at 4 so we couldn't stay...
It was 2pm..I was SOOOOOOO sleepy..I felt like going home and sleep...but I guess I should just go for the training...When I arrived, I was 1 hour early...The man who interviewed me yesterday was shocked to see me arrive so early. But I told him I had nothing else to do and just wanted to go early...Oh, this man, his name is Parry...I think he's a manager or the boss there...I don't really know his position...So, the training started at about 4.30...there were only 4 trainees..including myself....He started out talking about Cable TV...I enjoyed it cause I am such a Television Junkie...so I know most of the channels...though I don't have cable at the moment....He talked about the different plans available..and the promotions...We need to know a lot of things...like the activation fee, installation fee..the price of the set-top box and whether it is waived or not...and that's not all....
He gave us a 30 minute break at 6..and then he continued to tell us about MaxOnline...I thought MaxOnline would be easier and all...BUT HELL NO!!! It's even tougher cause there's just SOOOOOO many promotions....and then there's thing called the VECM...It stands for Voice Enabled Cable Modem....It's a telephone system but instead of connecting the wire to the telephone whatever, you connect it to the cable box or something...(I seriously need to look at the notes!!!)....But seriously, I like working for Starhub..I'm just waiting for the freebies....(Ok Ok..I might sound cheap here..but hey...don't you want free stuffs too??)....I saw 2 American Idol stuffs there...One is a badge...and another one is a CD Holder...there was actually A LOT!!! About 5 or 6...I thought of asking Parry to give me one but oh well...I'll just wait a little while..Maybe I can ask him to sell it to me..hehehe...Oh...I made friends with the other trainees...but I was closer to 1 only cause the other 2 were like quieter...We have to know each other cause we gonna work together...
Oh...sidetrack a bit..Just now at the carnival right, there was a performance by the kids and guess what they performed?? 'We're All In This Together'!!! And...as predicted, they too copied the actual moves...but they look so adorable...they even missed some steps...haha....watching them reminded me of my performance this year during the teachers day concert...
Oh...just so you know, the training ended at 8.30...I was SOOOOOOOOOOO tired...and guess what???
I'M STARTING WORK TOMORROW!!!
I'm so nervous...I'm afraid I'm gonna forget stuffs!!! Oh well...I figured out that I shouldn't back out now....Let me try this job for a while...
