It's alright, it's ok!

^the title of today's post is inspired by the new song by Ashley Tisdale.

If you haven't heard of it yet, GO HAVE A LISTEN!

Apart from those very cliche uplifting songs, this one seems to stand out because of it's pop-rockness! I really love it!

It's the song you should listen to if you're experiencing a break up.
I like these words from the song:

"You betrayed me, you played me"

Deep and meaningful.

School ended early today.
I came to school as Wally.
But Wally was feeling a little down today.
(*Who am I kidding, he was feeling down like A LOT!)

I can't help it.
I admit that I am bad at hiding my emotions.(*which makes me a terrible actor =P)

After the chat with Priya and Jovis, I had a clearer understanding of the situation.
(*at least I hope)
But I still have that feeling of hatred.

I was so happy to meet Yami after school.
We went to Far East to get perfumes for myself and my mum.
And then, we went to see a movie.

It was...

"I Love You, Man"

OMG!
It's really, really funny!
It's rated NC 16 due to its use of coarse language like A LOT!
It's adult jokes are hilarious!

The theatre was almost full.
The response was good I guess.

Oh, and there's that guy from 17 Again who played as Zac Efron/Matthew Perry's house mate.

WARNING: There is a homo scene. Not for the faint hearted.

Been listening to these songs recently:

*Teardrops on my guitar
*You Belong With me
*My Life Would Suck Without You
*Who Knew
....and a few others..

Basically, they're kinda depressing and uplifting at the same time.
I don't know.
I am at that point in life where I keep feeling insecure.
I feel like going to K-Box to sing my heart out to all of these songs!
I just need to let go all of my frustrations.

GOD PLEASE HELP ME!

I don't know how am I going to face tomorrow. (*and the day after, and the next, the next...)
On the bright side, just a few more months to school and then that's it.

Regarding work, maybe a new environment might do me good.
I don't think I can stay there anymore.
Before things get out of hand, I better take my leave.

'leavin....

teardrops on my guitar

Here's the thing...

I was watching new episodes of Hannah Montana off Youtube.
There was an episode where Miley/Hannah just got back from somewhere after being away to film a movie.
When she comes back, her best friends, Lilly and Oliver have become a couple.
The worst part is that, they were trying to hide it from Miley by not telling her just because she is single.

Ironically,
my life seems to be going the same direction right now.

Enough said.

there's gotta be more to life

Hey~!!!

I bet you guys want to know about my audition today right?

Well..
to cut the suspense...

I DIDN'T MAKE IT!

Ok..let me give you the exact details.

Basically, I reached Marina Bay Floating Platform at 1pm.
We had to enter from this 'secret' door.
We had to queue up in front of a lift for about say 10 minutes before they actually brought us to the 2nd level.
It was there that we got our sticker tags one more time and had to sit in the holding room and wait.

A lot of things were going on.
The usuals:
Interviews with contestants...
Contestants singing to the camera...
etc, etc, etc.

The wait wasn't very long.
SERIOUS.
At around 1.45pm, we were called out to move again.
This time, to level 3(*I think).
In the lift, we were told by the crew that once the door opens, we have to move to the left and supporters to the right.
And so that was what I did.

Gurmit was outside the door waiting for contestants to come out and tell him whether or not they make it through.

and then...
I was called in.

Inside, it wasn't immediately an entry to the judges.
I had to like wait some more.

There were like 3 other contestants before me.
I tried as much as possible to relax by doing the hoedown throwdown and jumping around.

Hady was there too.
He asked me if I was nervous.
I told him that I was trying to keep my nerves down.
He didn't know Rascal Flatts and so I told him to watch Hannah Montana The Movie!
HAHAH!
I was persuading him to go watch it and convinced him that I am a fan of Hannah.
Oh, and he even told me to say 'Hi' to my mum after I told him that my mum is a fan of his.
=P

I saw the producer cum ex-lecturer in my school, Mr Loh.
I said 'Hi' to him and he asked if I was his student.
I told him that he ever interviewed me for Specialist Diploma before.
And he was nice to wish me good luck.
Actually, Hady and all the other crew wished me luck too.
THANKS YA'LL~!!

Then it was the moment.
I was starstrucked when I saw the judges.
It was really them!

TO 'LEEN: I actually told Dick Lee that you're his fan.

I also complimented on each one of them.
I hope to see my audition clip on TV. (*or maybe not...)

When I sang, the judges didn't cut me off whatsoever.
But their expressions were quite misleading I should say.
It's like I thought they liked it but they didn't.
So yeah..
their comments were like:

"You lack the vocal prowess for a competition like this"

And minutes before the audition, I was told by this lady producer outside that I should show my personality even if it means that I have to argue with them.
So I sort of like 'argued' but in a nicer way.
I begged.

HAHAH!!

I asked if they would give me the chance to sing another song.
But they said it would still be the same because it's not good.

And then finally I gave up because I couldn't say anything more.
Ken Lim didn't say anything I think.
It was mostly Dick Lee and Florence Lian commenting.

Oh well, guess it wasn't my luck.

But I wasn't the only one not in luck.
Even before my audition, everyone that left the room had no golden ticket.

It was only the girl before me that got the yellow ticket.
And then subsequently no one else had it.

I guess competition is really tough this year and the judges have really really high expectations.
Oh well, let's see who wins the competition this year!
I can't wait to watch the series though!
HAHAH!

Oh, and then after my audition,
I left the room and Hady and Syafiqah were like waiting for me.
I was all jumpy and told them that I didn't get it.
I didn't want to be all sad and grumpy.
When Hady asked me what the judges said, I told him I couldn't remember.
STM(*Short Term Memory)

He even made me and Syafiqah do a silly skit which I think might be shown on TV!
WOOHOO~!!!

Afterwards,
I waited quite a while before I was interviewed by the crew.
The girl who was after me also didn't get it.
And she told me that I sounded good in there.
Well, not my luck.

And she even told me that we are like products and we just need to know how to market ourselves.
Which come to think, is really true.
I guess that's what the judges want.

You know how they would make us stand in front of the logo and talk to the camera?
Well, I had to do just that.
They asked me again what the judges said and how I felt.
I gave them my honest opinions.
I even gave fashion advice to Ken Lim.
LOOK OUT FOR THAT~!!!

And so my Singapore Idol journey has ended.
But I'm sure there are better things waiting for me up ahead.
To me, I am proud of myself for getting this far.
For being able to meet the real judges.

Just like the title of my post.
There's more to life out there for me to explore and a lot more opportunity awaits me.
And I just love what Jovis said to me in her text today:

"Every obstacle build up to success"

And I thank everyone who has been showing me support since forever.

This is not the end.
This is just the beginning.

Till next time~

You belong with me

Hello~!!!

Guess who's back?

MEEEEEEEEE!!! (*read Me and not Mee as in Noodles)

Ok...
I shall make this post simple.

Let's see..
today's activities were kind of unplanned.

Well..
to start off,
I went to Choa Chu Kang in the morning to pass Aileen my formal shirt so that she can bring in to our filming location tomorrow to let our actor wear.
I am supposed to be there but it clashes with my Auditions.
I can't believe my audition's tomorrow.
I hope that everything will go just fine.

And then,
while having an online discussion, I volunteered to go to Art Friend at Taka to look for stuff.
Thank goodness I had Syafiqah to go with me or it would've been a boring trip.

=))

Anywho,
took this photo of Jovis in the bus the other day.

Those are Aileen's fingers by the way.

***RANDOM FANBOY-ISM~!!!

Have you guys seen Hannah Montana The Movie??
IT'S AWESOME I TELL YA!!

Although I thought it wasn't good the first time,
I take my words back.

IT'S FANTASTIC!!!

Oh, and if you think that there's no one out there hotter than Zac Efron,
THINK AGAIN!

Introducing...

LUCAS TILL aka TRAVIS BRODY(in Hannah Montana The Movie)
he plays Miley's love interest in the movie.

Need anymore reason to like him???

FYI, he is on Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me music video.
And he looks equally hot!!!

AND...

I heard that he has a crush on Taylor Swift too!(*who wouldn't right?)

WOOHOOO~!!!

That's all for tonight's post.

Wanna watch??
It took me months to finish this poster.
KUDOS TO MYSELF~!!!

HEY~!!!

I AM SO GLAD MY INTERNET IS BACK!
It turned out that StarHub suspended the connection because my bill was overdued.
PFFT~
I didn't even receive the bill for this month lor...
GRRRR~!!!

Anyways, over the few days without internet, I accomplished certain things.
Well, very few I must say.
1) I did my ICM poster templates.
But couldn't send it on time.
GRRRRR~
2) I finished watching the entire series of The Little Nyonya~!!!
OMG!
I can never say this enough.
I REALLY, REALLY LIKE THE SHOW~!!!
And if you happen to have facebook, you might be able to view some of the re-enactments of the crucial scenes in the show that me and my mates re-enacted
HILARIOUS-NESS~!!!

KUDOS TO MEDIACORP FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL SHOW~!!
Maybe next time can have THE LITTLE BABA?
OR (*hint! hint!)
"The Little Malay boy who likes Little Nyonya"

I know of just the perfect actor for the role!
(*Hint! Hint!)

I found this picture while I was googling "The Little Nyonya".
I think her expression is hilarious.
JEANETTE AW ROCKS~!!

3) Oh, and I have been experimenting with Photoshop.
Well, not much experimenting though.
I just did these...

I am actually impressed with my photoshop skills!

RANDOM PICTURES:

Glass bottled Coca Cola during an event last Saturday.
Really cool!

Walnut Cheesecake and Oreo Cheesecake from McCafe. YUMMY~!

SIGH~!!
Went to Orchard yesterday with Carissa to look for the Rolling Stones magazine with Adam Lambert on the cover.
Went all over the place and to my disbelief, they were all SOLD OUT!

It goes to show that Adam Lambert is so popular here!

SIGH!
I NEED TO GET A COPY OF IT!

Oh, since I didn't get the magazine, I ended buying loads and loads of Hannah Montana stuff.

Hannah Montana is my weakness.
I just need to get everything that's Hannah related.
I've seen certain pictures a GAZILLION times on a GAZILLION things, but still I will go gaga over it.

Alright then.
Till next time.

Have fun~! (If you can find any...)

PFFT~

PROJECTS! PROJECTS! PROJECTS!

I hate that word for now...

I finally watched the first few episodes of The Little Nyonya.
Now I can understand the big hoo-ha about the show!
I think it's really good.
I'm a drama type of person so I really like the show.

I know you'd be laughing but I really think that Little Nyonya is really nice!
I can't wait to watch the rest of it but I have work tomorrow so I need to rest.

Alright then...
that's all for tonight's post.

"I said HI to Hady Mirza and he said HI back!"

My dream~!!!

Hey there!
Guess this is a post that you guys should read if you want to know all the scoops on my Singapore Idol auditions.

Warning: Might be a little too detailed. Read with patient.

Alright..
On Friday, 5th June 2009, I met my colleague, Wan at Lakeside MRT at 10.30pm.
I only found out he was auditioning too like the night before after I was on the way home from watching Hannah Montana: The Movie at Jurong Point and bumping into my PH colleagues.
I shall blog about the movie on another day.

We talked in the train about what we were going to sing and how nervous we were.
Oh, I brought like a lot of things with me.
I had:
-Panadol
-Axe Oil
-Carbon pills
-Redbull
-Jagabee chips
-2 bottles of Ice Mountain water
-Magazines to keep my awake
-My whole pencil box
-Old newspapers for me to sit/sleep on

OK.
We took the train to Dhoby Ghaut MRT.
We walked to THE CATHAY.
When I reached the place, I saw the HUGE SINGAPORE IDOL SIGN!
I went GAGA!
And then I saw the queue.
Ok lah...it wasn't THAT long yet.
But there are already 200 plus people.

After we got into the queue, I settled and said Hi to the person next to me.
I asked them:
Me: What time did you guys came?
***Halfway while asking that, I kinda like thought it was silly of me asking it.
Them: We just came.

LIKE DUH RIGHT??

They couldn't have been there that long.
Oh, forgot to mention.
We arrived at around 11pm on Friday night, 5th June 2009.

I started calling my mum and friends.
I even texted a few.

At around 11+, the security guards got us all to stand.
He distributed sticker tags to us.
I was number 266 which means that I'm the 266th person in line.
I was happy because it means that I will get to audition on the next day because it was stated that only the first 500 will get to audition.
And then they also told us that we could go home if we wanted to but just make sure that we are back in line at 7am.

It was tempting to go home and sleep.
But then again, I decided to just stay there.

After getting our sticker tags, we settled down....for good.
I quickly made friends with the people there again.
There was this girl, her name is E-van.
That's right, there's a hyphen in her name.
SO COOL~!
She's really friendly.
And then there's this group of guys who are accompanying their friend.
They're really funny.
And then there's this other guy whom I can say has been in every talent show ever.
He was in the 2nd season of Idol.
I got to ask him about how the process work and stuff.

And throughout the night, we just chatted.
They played games.
Me and Wan listened to music once in a while.
We went to the toilet when nature called.
Oh,
And I was quite annoyed with people in the queue who were smoking.
It was so inconsiderate of them.
Smoking is bad for your voice.
If you want to ruin your voice, go ahead but why try to ruin others'?
GRRRR

The memorable part was the sing along together.
There's like one group playing guitar and the other group will play along and sing.
We would just sing along to them.
I remembered singing "She Will Be Loved". "I'm Yours"...
I kinda miss those moments.

Anyways...
I did sleep.
But it was only through 1 song.
I remembered I was listenening to "I thought I lost you".
When I woke up, it was already at "I wanna be with you".
When I scrolled back, there was a song in between which was "I try".
LOL~!!!

At around 6.30am, I was washing up.
The toilets were jammed up.
Guys were doing their hair and everything else possible.

At around 7am,
the security guards got us to rearrange ourselves and position ourselves in the order of our sticker tags.
Of course, I was the 266th person.
Once we got into the arrangement, we sat down again.
OH,
and I hate sitting down all the time cuz of my jeans.
It was kinda low and tight.
And I had to keep pulling my shirt down.
GRRRR...

And then over there, I made friends again.
HAHAH!
They were really funny.
They joke like how me and my friends would joke.

At 8+, the Idol crew began playing music through the speakers.
I remembered them playing remixed versions of Poker Face and I hate that I love you so.
And then suddenly, we heard Gurmit Singh's voice saying Hello!
And then we saw him standing with Hady Mirza!
That's right!
Hady Mirza-Singapore Idol and Asian Idol!
He is the co-host of Singapore Idol season 3!
I was starstrucked for a few mins and began texting people!

We had to do those "I am the next Singapore Idol" thing for the trailers of Idol.
Oh, and by then, the queue was already SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!!!!!!!!
I am glad I was there very, very early although I was sleepy.

We waited till 11.15am before I got to register.
That was the moment when I got my AUDITION NUMBER TAG!

And we had to stand in front of the Singapore Idol poster and get our photo taken.

We then sat down for a while.
By then, they already broke us up into batches of 5.
They brought us up into the HOLDING ROOM which is actually a movie theatre.
We thought it was just going to be a while but then it became really long.

The seats were real comfy and the aircon too.
I fell asleep for like 20 mins.
Apparently, we were supposed to be interviewed by the crew first before we get to audition.
But for my case, it was straight to audition!
More about that in just a while.

Oh,
around 2+, Gurmit and Hady just crashed into the room and they got us to play games and sing along together.
What was happening there at the same time was also camera interviews with random contestants.
They would sing to the camera.
I got kinda intimidated because ...WOW! THEY SOUND REALLY GOOD!
They moved us around for about twice.

At 3.30pm, we were called in for Auditions.

It was THE MOMENT.

The audition was held at another theatre.
I was the first to audition from my batch.
Before we walk in, they briefed us on what to say/do and stuff.
I was so HAPPY and GLAD that Syafiqah was there with me outside the room.
She told me it was that this was what I've always been wanting.

I went in...

I introduced my name, song and artist.
I was asked to re-adjust my tag as the judges could not see it.
The judges were the producers(*I think...)

I began to sing...

***While I was singing, I really let go of my voice.
I have this tendency of restricting my singing.
But during the audition, I just let it all out and I was really comfortable.
I couldn't even believe how I was singing.

After the audition, I exit the room and waited.

After everyone in my batch had auditioned, we was brought to another location.
They called it the Results Room.

I WAS NERVOUS

The results were quick though.
I sat down.
They called my number.

Congratulations, you have made it to the second round.

I couldn't believe it!

I AM GOING TO MEET DICK LEE, FLORENCE LIAN & KEN LIM!
Instead of the YELLOW TICKET that we see on American Idol, it was a BLUE TICKET.

I will be called by the producers for the next round of auditions on one of these days:
22nd, 23rd, 24th & 25th.

and...

I will need to bring a minimum of 5 family members of friends.

You will get to accompany me through the waiting time and wait outside the room.

WHO WANTS TO GO WITH ME????

You can tag me, text me or TELL ME IN PERSON!

I want all of you to be there and support me!

So yeah...that was all for the journey.
After that, me and Syafiqah went to eat because I have been starving for 19 hours.
*YIKES!

Ok...here are the pictures with captions:

Saw these GIANT HANNAH MONTANA banners at Plaza Singapura.
I went GAGA!

My Audition Number Tag

Check out the GIANT STICKERS at THE CATHAY. SO GRAND!

...Reaching the registration counters...

I love the words there. Looks like a movie premiere.

The earlier sticker that I got.

When I was lying down, this was the view of the sky at 4am.
How often do you sleep in the middle of town right?

Saw this poster at The Cathay too!
I went GAGAGAGAGAGA AGAIN!

This was how the queue was at night.

Alright people~

SEE YA'LL!!!

Had a home, Homeless, Have a home

Alrightey ~
If you didn't know, I'm no longer staying in Redhill anymore.
What a relieve.
But, I almost never have a place to stay.
Too dramatic to say it here.
All I can say was, I was homeless for 6 hours.
Seriously.

On the morning of 30th May, 2009, me and my mum left the Redhill house to nowhere.
We seriously didn't know where to go.
A few people asked us where we were going with so many luggages.
My mum said "Indonesia" or "Malaysia".
What a lie.
I was sleepy that time but had no house to go to.
Can you imagine that?

I would like to thank all my friends and lecturers who stood by me when I'm in this state.
Too many of you for me to mention but you know who you are.
I'll never forget all of you!

My new room. I'm sharing it with my mum.

If you've been to my place or if you saw from the earlier posts like my birthday one, you can somehow picture how my house is like. Well, this is what's left.

The kitchen.

Our luggages.

Earlier, we had sent a few of our things away to the house I'm staying in now.

Oh, I can look forward to the Singapore Idol Auditions happening this Saturday!
Anyone want to queue with me??

=))
