Hello~!!!
OOH!!! It's Friday again! I'm blogging while listening to Sexy, Naughty, Bitchy by Tata Young. A couple of bitchy things happen in school. Thus the inspiration to actually hear this song again after 3 years.
Usually I'll update from Monday to Friday, I'm gonna go backwards today.
Friday, 4th May 2007
Let's see..I woke up at 7.45am today cuz school starts at 9am. I was almost late but hehe...I was early!(only 5 minutes early =P) At Dover station, I withdrew some cash because I had to activate my Poly ez-link card cuz apparently my secondary school expired. Thankfully there's not much balance in it so I don't have to like go to the ticketing office to claim the balance and then they'll take away my card(they did that to my primary school one...=(.....)
Anyways, the officer who was activating my card asked me if I wanted to like top up my card. I can also buy the concession and stuff. I was like it's ok..(at first)..I can top up later. Then I don't know what happened, he insisted that I top up $10 there so that it'll make his job easier. Like what easier? And the way he spoke was somehow rude. Oh well, I don't have time to lodge a complain. I eventually activated my card, got some sweets and saw some of my classmates(the girls) waiting near the MRT entrance/exit. I could've joined them and go to class together, but oh well, I didn't want to be late.
After lecture, my Fundamentals of Marketing(FOM) group sat down together to do our project. For 3 hours, we were clueless(well..I was). In the end,we(actually it was only William and Sin Kai) did like the first 2 slides of our powerpoint presentation.
We were 5 minutes late for Introduction to Communication Principles(ICP). We had a couple of activities like a group video presentation. My group presented the Herbal Essences video commercial. You know, about that biker guy with the long hair.
After that was ITB, I don't know how to say this but probably one of my favourite lessons? Cuz it's quite fun. I now know how to use MS Excel! No wonder when you're like applying for admin jobs, they'll ask whether or not you know how to use excel. Because it's like you can calculate your pay and everything there! COOL eh?~!!!
Mr Tan is quite ok lah. I'm the one who'll pay attention in class and also the one who'll like joke with him. HEHE

I decided to come to school in office clothes. You know, long sleeve shirt, long pants, black tie. Basically it was what I wore to Graduation last year minus the blazer and the spiky hair.
During Oral Communication, we got into our groups and discussed about our project. Our topic initially was Idolism. And then they changed it to "Laughter is the best medicine". Yea yea...you've guessed it. Idolism was MY idea. But there's just things that I'm not happy about which I'll share with you later on in the post. After the lesson, I had to follow my teacher cuz she wanted me to be a singing telegram.
"Singing telegram??? What's that???"
haha...you know me, I'm so silly that I don't even know what that means.
I had to send a gift to one of the lecturers there and sing to her. Apparently, she's expecting a baby and so the gifts were like baby powder, milk bottles, baby clothes...y'know, the baby essentials.
"Hi, are you Ms Lim? We're from Far East Flora.

It's true"
That was it. I think I was in the room for less than 2 minutes.
Moving on, the next lesson was Desktop Publishing aka Photoshop lesson! And here are some of the stuff I did:

Lecture was boring(as usual).
On my way home while I was walking outside the school, a few guys were sitting at the benches near the taxi stand.
"Wah..Handsome seh..."
Of course I can't just say 'Thank You'. So I smiled.
"Senyum pulak tu..(translation=wah, he shamefully smiled)"
HAHAHA
I don't know why they had to make such a big deal out of my dressing. I do look like some office person with my laptop bag and tie. But c'mon. There's nothing wrong right?

I didn't want to go to school actually but I had to. Our character development project was not too bad. And I just noticed something about "it" who should not be named. As "it" was talking, "it's" saliva was collecting on the sides of "it's" mouth. I can't help but want to laugh.
We then had a short break before ITB.
I think nothing interesting happened so I shan't say more.

Tuesday, 1st May 2007(My Birthday!!!)
It's LABOUR DAY! NO SCHOOL!!!
Although I could choose to wake up late, I didn't. Instead, I went to the market(yes, the wet market) to get groceries! I planned a little party at my place so obviously I need to serve food for my guests right?
When I got home, I began cooking. I fried some chicken nuggets. The menu was Fried Macaroni. But this time, it was kinda special. I had to make 2 different versions of it-Vegetarian and non-vegetarian. You'll know why soon.
Just as I finished cooking, Syafiqah arrived....with the BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!
And then I went to fetch Syafik and Azfairiyl at the bus stop. They were playing PS2 while we were waiting for Julaiha to arrive. She eventually arrived and then it was time. Time for what? TO CUT THE CAKE!
While the rest was in the kitchen helping to put 8 candles on the cake(I tall one and 7 short ones), I sat down on the chair waiting like a small kid. They sang to me that all time favorite song. You guessed it. Happy Birthday!
I don't know why. Usually people will feel like so happy and proud when people sing to them happy birthday. But to me, I felt so...shy. It's like "Oh stop it...you don't have to.." kind of feeling.
I made a few wishes.
and I'm gonna share 1 of it here.
" I wish to have my family back. "
I blow out the candles in one breath. And then Julaiha just had to say:
"Dah tak payah makan.( Now no need to eat already-this is so singlish)"
Apparently, I "rained" my saliva on the cake.
We ate and then played a short game of SingStar POP before Syafiqah had to leave for work.
Not long after, Julaiha's boyfriend came. He's quite friendly. I have like a phobia of meeting my friend's boy/girlfriend. It's like I don't know how to behave and stuff. I'll end up making a fool of myself. He ate the vegetarian fried macaroni because yup, he's a vegetarian. There's only mushrooms in there. And it's really spicy! We played UNO. I won, they lost.
Well, Julaiha had to leave by 3. Soon after, Aqilah came. YAY! She brought her dvds along. While she was watching the dvds, me, Syafik and Azfairiyl played monopoly.
I had no idea how to play monopoly. So, I was learning while playing. I lost.
The guys left around 6. After they left, Me and Aqilah played SingStar again. It's so FUN!!! And our singing is not that bad.
She had to leave though by 7.45.
I think this is one birthday I can never forget. Firstly, my best friends bought me the cake. Secondly, my friends were there. Thirdly, I planned it!
Well, for years, my mum had been the one to plan my party. Turning 17 is cool I guess. Cause you have like a magazine with your age on it. (Think SEVENTEEN)
It doesn't mean now that I'm 17, I'm gonna stop watching cartoons, stop going ga ga over mickey mouse and stitch. I believe there's still the kid in me!

Erm...what happened? Well, I remembered we had to eat licorice which is really disgusting. Trust me. Cuz we were describing different things using our five senses.
