Hey guys~!!! Thanks to those who visit my blog and is always waiting for updates..=))
So here I am..updating..
Let me start by sharing with you guys the cool stuff that happened on Thursday, 12th July.
I had to be in school by 9am as it was the day of the new OOPS! Magazine. Remember I told you guys a long time ago that it was called SPUNK? Well if I didn’t, then yea..it was supposed to be called SPUNK…which has a whole lot of meaning..
Personally, I’ve never heard of this word… It might be SP(Singapore Polytechnic)PUNK or anything else.. One of the meanings I found out is that it means ejaculation of semen. Have I mentioned this to you guys before?..Hmm..
So yea..the name was changed at the last minute because the principal thinks the name is suggestive. Also, the launch party was no longer at St James Power Station. Instead, it was held at ZOUK. I’ll tell you guys more about it.
And so..On Thursday morning, I came to the donut stall at the School of Business foodcourt to collect and pack donuts. Picture this. The donuts are covered with vanilla cream. Think dirty…=X While I was helping out, I was tasked to go to the other side of the school to collect and carry stuff. I grew some muscle from there…ehehhe…I then gave out postcards(they’re called ZO Cards..I don’t know why though) to students all over SP. Well..most of them.
At around 11am..I met up with Jovis, Lee Yan and 2 other seniors..Sandy and Fitri which you will see later on. We chat a bit until it’s time we set up our booth. The launch was at 12. Even before it was 12, people started queuing up around 11.45…Well..singaporeans.. Oh, why did they queue up? It’s because they could get newurbanmale goodie bags just by showing the ZO Cards. I was giving out the magazines…
We gave out more stuff…like the donuts…and biscuits..etc..
And then me, Jovis and Lee Yan went around the foodcourt to dare people to eat Oreos that are not so ordinary. Instead of the normal vanilla cream, we’ve added chilli sauce, mayonnaise, wasabi, oyster sauce and all the nasty stuff. People did try to eat it. For that, they got a free notebook! HAHAHA…I got newurbanmale vouchers for eating it..hahaha..
That’s the cool thing about being a crew..
I got free NEWURBANMALE T-shirt Notebooks Biscuits NEWURBANMALE vouchers Highlighters and more stuff which I forgot…
That was almost it..
After school, I went to the auditorium for the rehearsal of my school’s ARMY DAZE. Apparently, I’m an extra for the show. I’ll be one of the soldiers..COOL~!!!.. I got the army uniform..the only thing I don’t have are the boots. =( Since one of the actors wasn’t there, I stood in for him. I played the character Mr X. You know, that guy who sells that 101 WAYS TO TRUANCY book…
After the whole rehearsal, the director thanked me and said I did a good job playing the character. Wow.. Ok..probably he said it to be nice. But hey, it’s nice to get compliments from someone you don’t know.

I was late for school. School starts at 9.. I got up at 9.. I wouldn’t have gotten up if my mum didn’t wake me..
Mum: You not going to school? Me: Huh? Oh..I FORGOT to wake up..
=X
So I missed the 9am lecture and came to school for ITB’s class with DMC 03. At Jurong East station, I saw Jays who was also going to school. Hahaha…=)
So I reached the class about 5 minutes late. After meeting up with the OOPS! People, we went home to change into our partying outfits.
We took a bus from Tiong Bahru station and made our way to ZOUK. Well..we were lost initially. And then we found the place. It looked kinda ugly on the outside. But on the inside, it was stunning. They were rehearsing when we arrived. We sat down for a while and watch them. After we had dinner around 6.30, we were assigned tasks. I was to stand outside the ‘backstage’ and my job was to guard it..Ok ok..so I was a bouncer – cum – security guard. Only people with the crew pass can enter the place. Otherwise, they should go the other way. I received many thank yous from the crew and a few of the models. But some just took me for granted and didn’t even thank me. =( I stood there for about 2 hours. I saw a lot of things happening. People rushing in and out…One of the model in charge breaking down. I don’t really know what happened though but he just broke down. Probably he was too stressed out. At around 8.30, Jovis, Lee Yan and Aileen came to us and handed us goodie bags filled with lotsa stuff. We put them down and joined the crowd.
We drank. Coke of course. No alcohols were served..yet. Me and Jovis couldn’t stop moving to beats. It was weird cuz the rest of the SP-ians didn’t groove. We were surprised. We then moved closer to the stage and danced. We waved our hands in the air and people start to follow suit. Well..some of them. After a song number (Can’t take my hands of you)..the lights dimmed…and it was PARTY TIME!!... We just started dancing…the songs played were like Umbrella, Crazy In Love, Lean Back, Promiscuous…basically Hip Hop songs…it felt great to dance..i danced till my tummy hurt. It was about 1 hour of non-stop dancing. We screamed out loud too. Did some crumping…(probably a little grinding =X hahaha) At 9.55pm, we were asked to leave. That was the rule. SP had to leave by 10pm so that ZOUK can open for business. When we stepped out of it, the queue to go in was so long. We took a few more pictures and helped to carry stuff. We saw the president at the hotel next to ZOUK. We couldn’t take pictures with him though =(.. I felt patriotic for a moment.
We took the last train from Jurong East home.
At home, I was so tired that I didn’t eat. I didn’t go online. I just went into my room and sleep.

I had to get up early to go to Syariah Court. No..i’m not getting divorced(I’m not even married yet)..I went there to settle some money issues. Apparently, my dad had some money left in his Medisave account. But according to Islamic laws, the money has to be distributed equally among his other children which is my unknown brother and sister. I want to see them but I don’t even know how to get them. I’ve never met them.
So..it was kinda like that…we went here and there..
I bought 2 pairs of The Simpsons Movie t-shirt from Bossini. The adults ones were pretty ok..but the kids ones were nicer. Too bad the biggest size will probably just fit me perfectly. =(
I got home, slept till 7.30pm… Woke up, and did my FOM project all the way till 4am.
At around 3.15am, I received an sms from Jays.
Her dad has passed away.
I was shocked. I quickly told my mum about it. She was shocked too. I know what it’s like to lose a father because I’ve been through that moment. So today, Sunday, 15 July, 2007, me, my mum and Syafiqah went to Jay’s house to attend the funeral wake. When we arrived, Jays were at the cemetery. We waited till she came back. I saw the look on her mother’s face. It tells how shocked and sad she is. I understand. I know about Jay’s family. It’s quite similar to mine.
A special message to Julaiha:
Dear Julaiha, You’ve been a strong girl and I know that you’ll be able to go through with your life. This is the time when your mother really need you to be by her side the most. I understand that. Take good care of your mum and yourself as well. If you ever need anything or someone to talk to, I’m always here. I miss going out with you. Don’t forget that there’s people out there who loves you. Be strong…
After we left her place, we head down to Jurong Point. The first place I went to was SISTIC. Yup..I got myself a ticket to watch Gwen Stefani LIVE! I’ll be going there alone but it’s okay. I’m looking forward to buying the merchandises that will be sold there. HEHEE
I’m right now blogging from my aunt’s place. Will be back later to complete my FOM assignment due tomorrow before 9am =(…
Cya guys soon..=)
Bye and take care…=)
