when trying to be perfect means you're nobody
it's Friday, 12.17pm and I'm at home.
I had the MMR presentation earlier in the morning.
And I have to go back to school by 3.15pm later for Specialist Dip.
I came to school today in my new formal outfit.
Though it was not a requirement to put on a tie, I decided to complete the entire Businessman look with a tie and a laptop bag which was supposed to be like a briefcase.
Though the presentation time was 10.30am, we came to school earlier at 9am so as to rehearse and go through the powerpoint slides.
I was quite confident about it.
During the presentation, I stumbled on words quite a few times.
After greeting the lecturer, my mind went totally blank and I start to forget what was I supposed to say next.
Fortunately, I managed to find the words and presented.
The biggest deal for me was the Questions and Answers segment.
Each member were asked a question.
And when she asked me, I tried to answer it.
But I got it wrong.
The question has to do with the lecture but I did not read them as I thought that presenters will not be asked.
It got to a point for me that it was so tensed that I just told her that I was not able to answer it.
At that point, I knew I was so dead.
I felt it was a really major thing.
It shows that I did not read the lecture.
And it also shows that I am downright stupid.
It's not like I missed any lecture.
I religiously go to every single one.
But my memory retention is just so low.
I would remember it this moment and forget it days after.
After the presentation, the rest of the team decided to go to Vivocity to celebrate.
But I chose to go home.
As I am not feeling well.
I've already called up my workplace to tell them I can't work tonight and tomorrow morning.
So right now, I'm a little depressed again.
Cuz I've really screwed things up.
But hey..
everybody makes mistakes..
and I've admitted my mistakes..
and I won't repeat it.
On a lighter note, yesterday during our Law tutorial, I had so much fun!
First, Aqmar and his group performed High School Musical to the entire class.
It was fabulous!
No not the song..
they performed Breaking Free.
And it was WOW!
After that, we had to act out a skit.
I voluntarily raised my hand when Ms Peter asked for volunteers to play the characters.
I happened to play Cinderella.
And I had to act all girly and stuff.
It was a role cross gender thing..
Cuz a classmate, Trixia, she plays this guy called Charlie Charmless and she acted so well.
Nadine was the narrator and Flora was this Polly Pumpkin person and she did her filipino accent!
During specialist dip,
I acted again.
I made the lecturer, Ms Kwa choose genres of TV that she wants us to potray.
First, it was Action.
Our group tried to do a scene from Prison Break.
It ended up like a comedy.
Next, we did Educational.
We did Sesame Street.
I was Big Bird and another member played Elmo.
We did the ABC song.
We tried to do a scene from Gossip Girl but I only I know the show.
I tried to act spontaneously but it kinda got messy.
The other teams were awesome too!
Alright.
That's all for now.
Hate me.
Syawal.
