On an island 10 mins away from Singapore.
What do you get??
A WHOLE LOT OF FUN!
As promised, I will be sharing with you guys about the amazing time I had yesterday during our class trip to Pulau Ubin.
Let's start from the beginning.
I woke up at 7.20am.
A bit later than my usual 6.30s..
Took the train with Yan, Leen and Aqmar from Redhill and set off to Tanah Merah.
The meeting time was 9am as stated in the email sent by our class president, Jovis.
Just when we thought we were going to be late, we were so wrong.
We were the first few to be there.
We waited till 9.30am...
And by then, only 11 of us were there.
The rest were either :-sick,
-lazy,
-missing in action.
Anyways..
We met with Ms Kwa, Flora and Samantha at Changi Village and then off we went to the Changi Ferry Terminal! aka The Talked About Changi Jetty!
It was so strange for me.
When I got into the boat, I felt sick already.
The funny thing was that the boat hasn't even moved yet!
I was so excited when the boat finally left the jetty.
Some bid their goodbyes to Singapore..(*weird..I know!)
Some were rushing to finish their Nasi Lemak(I'm talking about Aileen, Liting and Cassandra...they were hungry..)
The rest just posed for the cameras!!!
Just as we've felt the fun of being on a bumboat, we've reached our destination.
Took more pictures and then we rented bicycles.
It was like $6 for the entire day?
But it was darn well worth it.
Maybe you know or don't know this..
I only learnt how to cycle when I was 14.
So..I'm still not a fantastic cyclist.
I was actually afraid that I would have forgotten how to ride a bike and I would just embarrass myself in front of my entire class.
But thankfully, I remembered.
So HOORAY for me!
It was fun to finally cycle again after so many years.
The uphill slopes were annoying for most of us.
Some who had the strength to ride up the hill, continued cycling up the hill..
for the rest, we pushed our bikes up.
However, the downhill slopes were fun but scary!
Especially the rocky ones...
My goodness..
I felt I was going to die or something.
The thing about me is that I keep having all these fearful thoughts.
So I would begin thinking of the possible consequences that can happen to me when I go down that slope..
There were even times when I thought I was in another world.
You know what I mean here?
Because I couldn't see anyone cycling ahead of me..
And I don't see anyone behind me..
And it was just perfect silence.
It's as if I've lost everyone around me.
It wasn't all cycling for us for 3 hours..
we stopped at the shelters to eat, rest and bond.
To cut long story short, it was like adventure for all of us.
I felt like I was in some adventure movie.
I kept thinking I would meet with Aslan along the way.
Lame.. I know.
After we've made 1 whole round around the island(*well..not entirely..)
We decided to head back to the jetty.
We returned our bikes, took more pictures and got onto the boat.
We sat down at Changi Village to have drinks.
I was so thirsty, I finished my whole glass of Bandong with just one slurp.
While the rest were discussing on where to go next, I began to feel so tired.
I think I haven't got over my tiredness from working 4 days straight last week.
I decided I had to go home and rest.

So I waited for bus number 2 to pick up passengers from Changi Village.
I alighted at the Tanah Merah bus stop and boarded the train.
Got myself a seat and plugged myself onto the MP3.
From Kallang onwards, I began to feel sleepy.
I can't believe that I fell asleep while listening to Hannah Montana.
I was listening to the Non-Stop Dance Party album which means they're all upbeat and loud.
But still...
And the worst part is..
I missed my stop.
I was half asleep so I could still hear when the station name is being announced.
I heard TIONG BAHRU but didn't hear REDHILL.
When I finally opened my eyes, I saw this building with stars(*if you take trains up to TOWN and all that, you would know which building I'm referring to)
I was in between Redhill and Queenstown.
I was glad that I woke up in time so I alighted at Queenstown and took the train back to Redhill.
Gosh..
I used to not like this idea of sleeping in buses and trains because I was afraid people would steal my things or something.
But now..
it's actually quite comfy.
No kidding!
HAHAH!
End of yesterday's drama.
Let me tell you about today.
I went marketing with Mum today after years.
When I was a kid, I would love going to the market with my grandmother.
Now that I'm older, I prefer supermarkets..
As usual, grandmother told mum to get fish.
Fish is like a must in our family.
I recognized a few of the sellers.
They've obviously grown older.
Some that I thought were so tall back then are now shorter than me.
Good times..good times..
I spent the afternoon eating..
and eating..
and watching a bollywood film.
It's my I don't know how many times I've seen it but I still cried.
It's like wow!...
Mum then asked me to run a little errand for her.
I took the opportunity to explore Bukit Merah Central!
I don't know why...
But I kinda like going there..
There's like McDonald's, KFC, 7-11, Fair Price, Guardian, Watsons..and whole lot more!
I bought milk and chocolates from Fair Price and a roll on deodorant from CK.
No..not Calvin Klien..but CK the department store.
It's cheaper than Guardian.
So..yeah!
Now I'm stuck at home.
It was raining when I began writing this post.
Now it has apparently stopped.
It's been quite humid the entire day.
Ok now..
gotta go sleep.
Time for more amazing adventures tomorrow!
