7 things...

As you can tell, the blog title is so not original.
It was inspired by Miley Cyrus' new song - 7 things.
If you have not heard it, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

Of course, since the last time I blogged, there have been many things that went on.
See if I can remember the 7 things I did.

1) The last time I blogged, I got through the 2nd round of the CASS Talentime. After much deliberation on what to perform for the 2nd round, I finally settled on the song All Or Nothing by O-Town. I really love this song as it is very romantic. I chose this song as I have the minus 1 track in my computer.

During the 2nd auditions, I got those same butterflies in my stomach syndrome. I tried to get into the Wally Blueberry mode but figured that it might not be that appropriate for the song. So I performed as myself.

There was a microphone and I worked it. Well, there was not much working to be done as the song was slow and laid back. As usual, I performed without my glasses. After the performance, the judges commented on my singing. I was surprised that a judge said that I sounded like this song was more difficult to sing than See You Again. I felt that All Or Nothing was much easier than the Miley song. Overall, the comments were really encouraging.

I got a little worried about whether or not I would get into the finals as I really want to be on that stage. 2 days later which was yesterday, I received a call from my classmate, Matt. It was his number but it was someone else on the other line who pretended to be him. He told me that I got into the finals! I was excited! The finals will be 2 months away which means I have 2 months to prepare! I'm gonna work it again and again till I get it right!

2)The MMR report is driving everyone nuts. Well, probably just us. The due date will be next Friday, 12pm and there's still a lot to be done. I am going to be busy this entire week as I will be staying back till late after school.

To my team mates who are reading this, just hold it there a little while longer alright? When we're done with this, lets celebrate!

3)Talking about projects, I remember my lecturer telling us that misunderstandings and things like that are bound to happen. Much as I want to not believe it, it happened to my group. I must say it wasn't pretty. But I'm glad now that the issues are settled and any differences are pushed aside.

4)You can see as I'm going down the list, I'm getting lazier to write much right? You know you can stop here. But if you insist on continuing, read on!

I went to Orchard Road on payday - 29 July 2008.
I got myself the long awaited Breakout album by Miley Cyrus.
I haven't really heard all of the tracks.
My only favorite track on the album is 7 Things.
I also bought the Hannah Montana Poster Book from Kinokuniya.
It seemed like each time I get my pay, I will buy something Hannah related.

GIANT TOBLERONE that Lee Yan's parents brought back from Australia. It's even bigger than her! LOL

After shopping, me and Aqmar went to our favorite dining place(ok..probably MY favorite place)- LJS. I realized that the chicken fillets have shrunk in their sizes.
We talked about stuff. Things that I never thought I would talk about. We ate till we got tired of chewing. LOL

5)NEW UNIFORM!
I just found out today that Guardian will be having a new uniform for all staffs!
They were asking for our shirt sizes and that was how I got to know about it.
SO YEAH!

I was working in the morning shift today. I was so shocked that the stocks came so early today..like 1pm. Usually, it comes around 5, 6pm..
And to my horror, there were 53 cartons.
That's like A LOT!
I was regretting for working in the morning shift because I know I can't get it done.
But to my surprise, when Aunty came to the store for her shift, she got it done in less than 2 hours. I was like so impressed!

After work, I walked around Popular Jurong Point to find the new issue of the Hannah Montana Magazine. It wasn't there. I'm beginning to think that these people might think that the magazines are not selling well and decided to stop running it. PLEASE DON'T! I am a great supporter of the magazine! I didn't find the magazine, but I found the Sticker book instead. It came with 2 packets of stickers. I have to start collecting the stickers as there are over 200 of them. $$$

6)After not seeing Syafiqah for a long time, I went to visit her at her workplace today. I didn't know she was working. I just tried my luck and was so happy to see her there. We talked about certain matters. Friendships, relationships etc etc etc.
The next time I will be seeing her again will be in exactly 1 week's time as we will be attending the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL ICE TOUR!

I really can't wait for that!
I will be working on National Day morning and the morning after.

I realize that there's this staff at my workplace who's trying to avoid working with me. This is that staff who blamed me for that misplace of item the other time at Guardian. I guess she's feeling 'paiseh' and the only way to cover it is by avoiding me. LAMER!

7)FINALLY! The 7th thing!
The 7th thing I'm gonna talk about is the GONE SHOPPING DVD LAUNCH at IMM that me and the rest attended today!

If you remember me attending the movie premier for the local movie starring Kym Ng last year, well, the DVD is out this year! My friend, LEE YAN, bought 2 copies of the DVD! Crazy fans will do anything! I know because I am a crazy fan!

So we arrived at IMM at around 6pm. There were question and answer segments. But they were all in mandarin. So, with the help of Lee Yan, I managed to answer 1 question.

When Kym Ng and Wee Li Lin-the director for Gone Shopping arrived, there were more games. When it came to some stage games, Wee Li Lin pointed at me as I was wearing a Pink shirt. LOL!

Being the thick skin that I am, I strut to the stage. I was in the same team as Wee Li Lin while the other chosen girl was in Kym Ng's team. It was like a battle of the sexes thing. The questions asked were all related to IMM eg:Name 2 sports shops..name the stores that you can buy the DVD..etc etc etc..

I beat Kym Ng's team 4:3

I got to go home with lots of goodies.

This thing plays the song from the movie SECRET by JAY CHOU. INTERESTING...

While me and Aqmar were in the queue taking pictures of the Aileen, Lee Yan and Jovis on stage waiting for their turns to get the DVD signed by Kym, the organizers handed out posters to allow us to go on stage to get them to sign.

When I got on stage, I asked Kym if she remembered me from CODE RED. She was trying hard to remember. I even recited the jingle to her and she was smiling away..
I also spoke to the director. She's really nice! Being thick skinned again, I asked if I could act in her next movie..she said she needs actors and wants me to add her on facebook.

Even after the event, we chatted with her and she told us that we can be extras for her next movie. Talk about starstruck!
